Rounds 2 and 3 of the Westmeath Junior Championship coming up this week

This week sees the return of the Westmeath Junior Football Championship with St. Pauls taking on near neighbours Delvin in the Downs this coming Wednesday evening, July 18th at 8:30pm. Then on Sunday next, July 22nd we return to the Downs for a Round 3 clash with Loughnavalley with a throw in time of 1pm. These are two big games for our lads so please try and make it over to the Downs to shout on the lads.

Juvenile Details

Hard luck to our U-16 and Minor St. Pauls-Delvin teams on their respective Championship defeats last week against Inny Shamrocks and St. Michaels.

Fixtures- 

Monday 16th July, Minor Football Championship R2, St. Pauls-Delvin vs Inny Shamrocks in Clonmellon at 7:30pm.

 

Wednesday 18th July, U-12's R2, St. Pauls vs Ballycomoyle in Ballycomoyle at 7pm.

 

Thursday 19th July, U-14 Championship R4 , St. Pauls-Delvin vs Garycastle in Clonmellon at 7pm. 

 

Saturday 21st July, U-8 Blitz in Multyfarnham at 11am.

 

Club Lotto

Please support our Club Lotto as this supports the day to day costs of running the club. Club lotto envelopes can be got from any of the local shops and pubs, at Bingo on Monday nights or from any of the committee members. The Lotto draw takes place every Monday night during bingo in the local Community Centre. The Cost is just €2 a ticket. Currently the Jackpot stands at €2,860. There was no winner of last weeks jackpot where the winning numbers were 1, 6, 26, 28. 20 euro winners on the night were Tossy Higgins, Ann Dolan and Elizabeth Matthews-well done to all.

 

St. Pauls Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp has returned again this year and runs every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am-12noon until the end of August. There will be plenty of football, fun & games for both boys and girls from ages 5 up to 14 in a safe & fun environment and costs just 2 euro per day or 5 euro for a family of 3 or more. Please remember that children should dress appropriately for the weather, have suncream applied if necessary and they should also bring a gum shields,  a drink & a snack each day.

 

Clothes & clobber collection

The clubs fundraising clothes & clobber collection is due to finish up shortly so start collecting those bags of unwanted clothes, blankets, curtains etc, bring them into the club grounds any Monday or Friday evening between 7 and 8pm and we will gladly take them off your hands. If you are not in a position to bring your donations into us, you can contact us on 0876965313 and we will come to your house and collect it. This is a vital fundraiser that keeps our club ticking over so thank you to all who play.

 

Well done

Well done to the Brownstown hurlers on their 2 point win against St. Oliver Plunketts in last Sundays Championship clash in Cusack Park. 

Well done also to Local girl and former St. Pauls footballer Louise O'Connor who came second in the Leinster Puc Fada competition last weekend.
