On the Ball

Tickets for our On the Ball night of GAA Craic and serious GAA discussion are selling fast. The event with the great Joe Brolly, Bernard Flynn and Dessie Dolan (Is it only corner-forwards who make great pundits?) and of course Conor's Sketches representing a whole collection of GAA animals and other species takes place on 20 January in the Greville Arms Hotel with doors opening at 8.00pm. Tickets are available from any committee member or club officer and are also now available to purchase online via the following link: https://mullingarshamrocks.clubifyapp.com/products . They can also be purchased at the Greville Arms Hotel. Be Warned On the Ball is likely to be a sold-out prior to the event. Get your tickets early and don't be disappointed.

Membership Fees

Unfortunately, it's that time of year when membership fees fall due. The good news is that a facility to pay club membership for Mullingar Shamrocks is now active online at https://mullingarshamrocks.clubifyapp.com/membership_products

Our three registrars, Anthony Clinton, Karen Hegarty and Des Maguire (or any other member of the executive) are available to receive the relevant fees for 2018 which are:

Full Membership: (Over-18 years of age with full voting rights at AGM and eligible to play and hold positions in club), €50.

Social Membership/Youth Membership/Full-time 3rd level Student Membership: (Eligible to participate in all club social activities and includes playing membership for Youth members and Full-Time 3rd level students). €25.

Family Membership: (2x adult social membership and juvenile registration for children), €100.

Fitness Centre membership is not included in any of the above. Contact Michael (086-0824267) for membership details or to make an appointment to view the facilities.

Walking Track

Now that Operation Transformation is back on TV and the New Year Resolutions to maintain a healthier and fitter lifestyle are still intact we would like to remind our members and friends that the club's walking track will be fully lighted during the winter months and is ready for use. Why not organise a group of friends and get walking for a night or two during the month? Spinning and Pilates classes are on-going, and Michael has all the details (086-0824267)

Dancing with Shamrocks

The opening night of Dancing with the Stars was nothing if not inspirational and prompts a reminder that Dancing with Shamrocks is scheduled for early in May. If you feel like doing a Marty Morrissey, an Angela Geary, a Noreen Casey, a Jake Carter or even a Bernard O'Shea and wish to stride on to the stage of the Park Hotel sparkling with Glitter and Glam then make contact with any officer of Mullingar Shamrocks. We have the dance, the uniform and the partner waiting for you!

SOS for New Referees

A Foundation Course for new referees will take place in TEG Cusack Park in January 2018. To register for this course please contact the referees' co-ordinator at [email protected]. Participants will be notified of exact dates and times once they have registered. Have we another Barry Kelly, Terry O'Dowd or Robbie Cornally amongst our members?
