Funding boost for St Conleth's Park and Walsh Park

Kildare GAA and Waterford GAA have received over €8.5 million in funding between them towards the redevelopment of St Conleth's Park and Walsh Park.

St Conleth’s Park in Newbridge will receive €4.8 million towards the construction of a new 3,000 seated stand under the Government's new Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund, while Walsh Park in Waterford has been allocated €3,753,750 for the construction of a new seated stand, along with upgrades to the dressing rooms and pitch.

In all, 25 individual sports projects will receive funding of varying amounts totalling €77.4m, with Pairc Tailteann in Navan receiving the largest grant for a GAA project (€6.2 million).
