It looks as though Mayo captain Diarmuid O’Connor will play no part in Sunday’s Connacht SFC clash with New York.
The Irish Daily Star reports that a facial injury sustained in training last week means manager James Horan is unlikely to risk the Ballintubber clubman against the Exiles.
Horan is also expected to keep both Keith Higgins and Seamus O’Shea in reserve as they recover from ankle injuries but David Clarke, Michael Plunkett, Ger Cafferkey, Cian Hanley and Cillian O’Connor are all available for selection.
