The All-Ireland SFC qualifiers took centre stage this afternoon as round three went down for decision.

There were four games due to be concluded throughout the day all of which were played in very hot conditions.

The footballers of Leitrim and Monaghan and Armagh and Clare looked set to bear the brunt of most of the sun as they threw in at 2.30pm and 3pm respectively.

Then at 5pm, Cavan and Tyrone changed direction from Croke Park and headed to Brewster Park, Enniskillen for their all-Ulster clash.

The last of the games threw in at 7pm and what a game we had in store here as Kildare hosted Mayo at Newbridge. Yes, that's Newbridge and not Croke Park1

All the furore over the venue has been concluded and now was the time for the talking to be done on the pitch.
