Former Derry star Eoin Bradley scored 1-4 on his London SFC debut for Parnells in Ruislip yesterday, but it wasn't enough to stop Fulham Irish from getting their quest for back-to-back titles off to a winning start.
With three-time Tyrone All-Ireland winner Owen Mulligan leading their attack, the holders ran out comfortable 3-13 to 1-10 winners.
Tir Chonaill Gaels, who have lost the last two county finals, are seen as the biggest threat to Fulham Irish after picking up both the Conway and Tipperary Cups already this year. They opened their championship campaign with a 6-10 to 1-6 drubbing of Kingdom Kerry Gaels, with former Donegal player Adrian Hanlon accounting for 3-6 of their tally.
In the other group, St Kiernans and North London Shamrocks both made a winning start by beating Cu Chulainns and Round Towers, respectively.
