St Joseph's club notes

Senior Football

Last weekend our senior team travelled to Goodmayes in East London to take on a strong and well drilled Tomas McCurtains team full of confidence with 3 wins from 3 in the league, having overcome Tara, Garyowen, St.Clarets in their previous outings. The guys were well in contention right up until the final quarter until McCuratins took full advantage of their goal scoring opportunities with 2 goals being tucked away by the hosting team in the final 15 minutes. Plenty of positives to take away for the Senior men however plenty to work on also. McCurtains were full value for their win on the day running out 2-15 to 1-11 winners. Scorers for the Joes were Shane Ruane 1-3, Niall McAlynn 0-2, Shane King 0-1 and Eamonn McGovern 0-5.

The First league defeat for the Joes this season and they will certainly be looking to right a few wrongs when they take on Neasden at Jubilee Park, Kingsbury on Tuesday 10th July - throw in for that one is at 19:15.

We would ask that all come out to support the lads on what has been a very encouraging start to the season.

If there are an updates on any of the upcoming fixtures please keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
