Trillick coach Conor Daly feels that the Tyrone champions are well prepared to do well in the provincial campaign.

This Sunday, Trillick take on Fermanagh champions Derrygonnelly in the Ulster club SFC first round at Brewster Park.

And Daly told the Ulster Herald that they have been working hard ahead of the game, stressing that the players are looking forward to it.

“Any time that you’re training at Halloween for knockout football it is fantastic,” stated Daly.

“That 2015 season, it had been a long time since Trillick had won the championship and the novelty factor was about, maybe a giddiness.

“They had a good run, they went down and beat a very good Naomh Conaill side in Donegal and they were very unlucky against Scotstown. We’re really looking forward to it again this year, we’re on a great run of form and we beat some serious teams in Tyrone.”
