Donaghmore club notes

Culture: Beginner and intermediate irish classes start this Tuesday 17th September.  Beginners at 7pm with intermediate at 8pm. Classes are one hour and are designed to go at a pace that suits all. Some spaces still available on both.  It’s not too late to join. Contact Seán Antón Ó Conalláin on 07709714100 or [email protected]. Everyone welcome.

Congratulations: to all in Eoghan Ruadh Hurling Club on a fantastic sequence of success winning the Senior, Minor and U14 championship titles this week.  Special mention to all our dual players especially the 7 players at under 14 level.

Training and Fixtures:

Senior and Reserves: Big Result: Dungannon 0-13 Dmore 1-15. Fantastic result and a great game were it not for a sending off. Next up is the re-scheduled game V Derrylaughan. Reserves at 4:30pm and Seniors at 6pm this coming Sat 21st in Fr Eamon Devlin Park. Check TyroneGaa link for results and fixtures.

U6.5’s; U8/U10 Boys: U10 lads had a busy Sat with 2 teams at Go games in Killeeshil and another team at the Pearse Kennedy Memorial Cup in Pomeroy where they finished eventual winners.  Well done to all. Monday night coaching sessions (6:30pm) are in the final few weeks of the season for these football mad youngsters. Thanks to all the parents, especially those who help with the coaching.  Great year had by all. U12 Lads: Coaching continues Mon 6:15 - 7:30pm and  Wed 6:15 - 7:30pm. U16 lads: Great achievement by both our U16 lads teams reaching the knock-out stages of both 1A and 3A leagues.  Well done to both players and mgt and good luck as the season heads to its finale. 1A Championship fixture is next Sat 21st at 11:30am away to Strabane. 3A’s Championship fixture is V Brackaville (details TBC). Coaching continues Sundays at 10:30am. Keep an eye on social media for confirmation of fixtures and results. 

P2-P7 Ladies: We will be hosting a blitz this Sat 21st which will act as a season finale. Coaching continues Mondays at 6:30pm. Again these sessions are in the final few weeks.  Sincere thanks to all the parents and coaches for your continued support of this fun and energetic age group. U12 Ladies:  A great season for these girls with outstanding talent and phenomenal potential for the future.  Well done girls and mgt, a special group. U16 Ladies: Final league game is away to Errigal on Tues 17th at 6:30pm. Well done girls a tough and challenging league where you competed well. Championship V Moy is next Sun at 11am in Fr Eamon Devlin Park. 


Thoughts and Prayers: The club, both players and members continue to offer our thoughts, prayers and support to those in the club and community dealing with sickness and bereavement.
