The U16 Boys made the short trip to Dungannon on Monday 2nd September for their rescheduled Round 6 league fixture. The Hoops played against a strong breeze in the opening half but carried the fight to Dungannon from the off with some tough tackling and good attacking moves. The lads went in trailing by 2-7 to 2-5 points at the break, helped by 1-1 from Caolan Kilpatrick and the other goal coming from Cathal Rafferty. There were also some fine points from Luke Donnelly and Eoin Neill. Dungannon hit a purple patch early in the second half and were able to put daylight between the sides but Killeeshil battled to the end and a fine point from substitute Conor McCool epitomised their fighting spirit. In fact, all substitutes made a great contribution when they took to the field. Final score 4-12 to 2-8. The lads play their final league outing on Thursday 5th at home against Moortown. Please note the earlier thrown in time of 6.45pm for this game. All players to meet at the pitch for 6.00pm.
