Urney St. Columba's - Club Notes

ADULT (Daoine Fásta):
The Intermediate Championship takes centre stage this weekend. Urney face Cookstown on Saturday 31st August in Pomeroy, throw in is scheduled for 6pm. Best wishes from everyone at the club to the players and management. We would encourage everyone to make the journey and show their support for the team.
Last weekends game against Loughmacrory has been rescheduled for 5th October.
YOUTH (An tAos Óg):
Training for Under 16 girls continues this Wednesday at 6.30pm at pitch. All new and returning players are welcome to attend.
Underage training continues on Thursday. Training for U6, U8, U10 & U12 will take place at the pitch from 7 to 8. New players always welcome.
Youth membership can be paid to Cathal McGowan at youth training on Thursday night. Family - £50, Under 6 - £10, Under 8 to Under 16 - £20. Forms are available and must be filled in.
Our under 10's took part in a Go-Games blitz in Owen Roes on Saturday. An enjoyable mornings football, and a special thanks Owen Roe's for their hospitality.
Thanks as well to coaches, Vincy, Damien, Marcus, Shea and Jack, and special thanks to the parents for their ongoing support.
Our under 12.5 have a game against Owen Roes on Thursday evening 7.15 throw in. All support would be greatly appreciated.

CONDOLONCES (Comhbhrón)
Urney GAA is saddened today to learn of the passing of Tony McAleer.
Beloved husband of the late Kathleen, much loved father of Declan, Liam, Ann, Kieran, Ursula, Michael and Catherine.
The McAleer family have played influential roles within the club over the years.
Tony is the grandfather of club senior captain Jamie and father of club photographer Kieran.
Mary queen of gaels pray for them.
