Urney St. Columba's - Club Notes

ADULT (Daoine Fásta):

 

Senior & Reserve training schedule for this week is as follows:

Monday 18th February at Melvin Astro pitch from 7-8pm.

Wednesday 20th February at the Muga pitch in the Glebe from 8-9.30pm.

Friday 22nd February at Melvin Astro pitch from 8-9pm.

 

All current, new and returning players welcome.

 

 

YOUTH (An tAos Óg):  
 
The Under 14 boys played a friendly on Saturday morning against Owen Roes and came away with a win. Training continues on Saturday’s from 11 to 12 in Doneyloop hall. 

 
Minor boys training has now begun. If you would like to play minor football this year please contact Ronan Lafferty or Matthew Neeson for more information. 

Minor ladies training continues on Wednesday and Friday nights at the club rooms from 7.30

 

 
SUMMER CAMP (Campa Samhraidh):

 

Mark the dates on your calendar.... Tyrone GAA Summer camp in Urney from 15th to 18th July this year. Enrollment details will be issued as soon as we have them.

MEMBERSHIP 2019 (Ballraíocht 2019): 
 
Another membership night will take place this Friday 22nd in the clubrooms from 7.30 – 8.30pm All members both previous and new need to fill in a new membership form to comply with GDPR.  
 
Rates for 2019 as follows, 
 
Adult players £30 
Non playing adult £20 
Youth £20 
OAP £10 
Family £50 
 
Other membership nights will be scheduled in coming weeks for more information contact Club Registrar Cathal McGowan or keep an eye on Facebook. 
 
 
NATIONAL GAA TICKETS (Ticéidí Chrannchur CLG): 
 
National GAA draw tickets have been given out and everyone is asked to return these asap. All proceeds will go towards the club and there are some fantastic prizes available.

It’s the last few weeks of this and we are asking for a final push.

 

Spread the word! Urney St. Columba's has been selected to be one of Asda's Chosen By You participants!  
 
I'm sure you seen this sort of thing before, anyone shopping at Asda gets given tokens (please ask for some if they're not handed over, feel free to ask for lots!) and one of the clear boxes you can put your tokens in is for Urney. At the end of the competition whichever of the three causes has the most tokens get a cheque for £500. The two runners up get £200.

The club lotto numbers for Monday 18th February were; 2 -10 - 20 -25 . No Jackpot Winner – 5 Match 3 winners, Denise Langan, Clady, Michael McGhee, Clady, Linda & Aisling Herron, Strabane, Liz McElchar ℅ Hall, Stephen Black ℅ Hall – each receive £20. Next Week’s Jackpot - £2850 
 
Thanks to all who promote, sell and organise our lotto. Special thanks to Paul Bogle, Fergal Harper, Vincent Langan and Ali Logue our Lotto counters for February. This is a major source of income and it is hoped over the next few weeks that it will also be available online. Keep an eye on club Facebook and Twitter pages for more info. 

 

CONDOLENCES (Comhbhrón):

 

The club would like to pass on condolences to the family of Pat Lynch, Douglas Bridge. Pat is the father of Ben Lynch, Bellscourt Clady. We would like to send our deepest condolences to Pat's wife Eileen, daughter Patricia and sons Ben & Michael, father-in-law of Diane and the late Chafik, loving grandad of Ruairi, Daniel, Stephen, Safan and Kader, dearest brother of Annie, Charlie, Maggie, Jimmy, Mary and the late Hughie and John. We also send our thoughts and prayers to the wider family circle at this sad time.
