Tyrone county board is to investigate the violent scenes that overshadowed two club games in the county on Friday and Saturday,

Saturday's SFC first round game between Moy and Edendork saw referee Kieran Eanetta issue a whopping 27 cards - 20 yellow, six red and one black - while former Tyrone captain Sean Cavanagh was brought to hospital after sustaining horrific facial injuries following an incident in the 20th minute.

The mass brawl which marred Friday night's IFC clash between Stewartstown and Strabane at Healy Park will also be probed.

As many as 30 players were involved in the melee at the end of normal time, after which five red cards and two blacks were issued. Stewartstown won the game by 1-19 to 2-13 after both teams were restored to 15 players each for extra-time.
