New Dublin hurling boss Pat Gilroy has brought another forgotten man back into the fold.

According to The Herald, Joey Boland has returned to the squad after an 18-month absence. The 30-year-old's last competitive start for the Dubs was against Tipperary in the 2016 Allianz League.

Meanwhile, it's thought that former Limerick hurler Tom Ryan is no longer training with Gilroy's extended squad, despite featuring in a SH challenge against Tipperary last Saturday.
