Colm O'Rourke has stepped down as manager of Meath senior football champions Simonstown.

The Royal County legend guided the Navan club to a maiden county senior title in 2016 and followed that up with a two-in-a-row last October when they defeated Summerhill in the Keegan Cup decider.

They subsequently reached the last four of the Leinster Club SFC where they lost out to St Loman's, Mullingar.

O'Rourke informed club members of his decision to vacate the role at last night's annual general meeting.

He bows out on a high after guiding the club to unprecedented success in the last two years.
