Na Piarsaigh are up and running with their first win of the Limerick SHC campaign after goals either side of the break from Adrian Breen and William Henn saw them ease past Ahane.

The Caherdavin side surprisingly came unstuck against Kilmallock last weekend but bounce back in impressive fashion to beat Ahane at the LIT Gaelic Grounds this afternoon as it finished 2-23 to 0-9.

Ahane were forced to play the entire second half with 14 men after Jeffery Enright received a straight red card for a high tackle on Peter Casey. However, the damage was done by half time when they trailed 1-13 to 0-5.

In the second round of the Limerick SHC Section B, South Liberties proved too strong for Murroe-Boher (3-21 to 1-15) and Blackrock and Garryspillane played out an entertaining 0-17 to 1-14 draw.
