HL2A: Kingdom rule in Castlebar

Kerry go their Allianz HL Division 2A campaign off to a winning start at the expense of hosts Mayo today.

The Kingdom came away from Castlebar with a convincing 2-24 to 0-13 under their belts.

Jordan Conway’s first-half goal boosted the visitors into a 1-11 to 0-8 interval lead and Brandon Barrett added a second green flag after the break.

Shane Conway topped the scoring chart with 0-10 (7 frees) and Fintan O’Connor’s side now switch their focus to the visit of Michael Fennelly’s Offaly to Austin Stack Park next Sunday.

Mayo will travel to Loughgiel to take on Antrim in round 2.
