A Meath SHC game didn't go ahead on Friday night due to the absence of a referee.

The tie between Navan O'Mahony's and Boardsmill was due to take place in Trim at 7.45pm, but as both teams waited on the field for the game to start, they were informed that it wouldn't be going ahead as there was no referee.

Needless to say, the postponement hasn't gone down well with the hurling fraternity in the Royal County who only last month celebrated a Christy Ring Cup final victory over Down at Croke Park.
