Brian Cody - hurling's most successful and longest-serving inter-county manager - celebrates his 65th birthday today.

Born on this day in 1954, Cody has overseen 20 national title wins since taking over the Cats in late 1998, including 11 All-Irelands. Another victory in Sunday's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final against Cork would make for the perfect birthday perfect.

Cody shares his birthday with Limerick legend Mickey Mackey, who died at the age of 70 in 1982.
