Cianan Fahy used a tiny hurl to shoot down Wexford

July 06, 2018

Galway's Cianan Fahy uses a tiny hurl.

It only seems like yesterday that hurling supporters were complaining about goalkeepers using hurls with a frying pan bás for taking frees and penalties.

During Wednesday night's epic Leinster U21HC final which was shown on TG4, eagle-eyed viewers noticed Galway forward Cianan Fahy using a particularly small hurl not much longer than a tennis racket.

The tiny caman didn't seem to do the Ardrahan man any harm as he helped himself to five points, one free and one '65, in the Tribesmen's historic victory over Wexford.

Could Fahy be about to set a trend? Only time will tell.
