Tipperary star and AFLW star Aisling McCarthy has been traded to West Coast Eagles from Melbourne Bulldogs on a two-year-deal.
The 24-year-old becomes the first Irishwoman — and first non-Australian — to move clubs in the Women’s Australian Football League.
West Coast Eagles announced the trade yesterday, with McCarthy having previously made six AFLW appearances, and she will now join up with Mayo sisters Grace and Niamh Kelly at the club.
