Sligo and Antrim recorded vital victories in today’s two Division Four matches.

At Ruislip, the Yeats County brought their 18-month losing streak to an end when powering past London, 5-9 to 0-11. Goals from Paddy O'Connor (2), Pat Hughes (2) and Darragh Cummins worked the oracle for Paul Taylor’s men, whose last victory came at the same venue in May, 2018.

With Red Og Murphy impressing on his league debut, the visitors led by 3-3 to 0-3 at the break and never looked back, Hughes bagging both his goals inside 60 second-half seconds.

Goals were also the difference at Glenavy, where Ruairi McCann struck a second-half brace as Antrim inflicted a 3-10 to 0-13 defeat on Paul Galvin’s Wexford. Paddy Cunningham marked his first intercounty appearance in seven years with six points, Eunan Walsh’s goal handing the hosts a narrow 1-7 to 0-8 lead at the short whistle.

McCann palmed to the net three minutes after the restart and added his second nine minutes later – 3-8 to 0-10. The Model County landed the next three points through Jonathan Bealin, substitute Sean Nolan and Ben Brosnan, but Colm Duffin steadied Lenny Harbinson’s charges with their first point in 18 minutes.
