Sad passing of Antrim referee Paul McKeever

Antrim and Ulster GAA have paid their respects to referee Paul McKeever who passed away yesterday.
Only in his late thirties, the Roger Casements, Portglenone clubman took up refereeing in 2012 and was a member of the Ulster referees' panel. He refereed championship games at every level in the province except for senior.
Paul also represented Antrim in football at minor and U21 level, and was a member of the minor team that lost the 1997 Ulster final to a Mickey Harte-managed Tyrone.
"Paul McKeever was a true gentleman who was always an enthusiastic and loyal match official at our games. To Paul’s wife Nicola, children Ryan, Conor and Erin, and entire McKeever family circle, his team of umpires, the gaels of Roger Casements, Antrim GAA and his many friends, Ulster GAA offer our deepest sympathy at this very sad time. A Minute's Silence will be observed at all Ulster Club games this weekend," Ulster GAA said in a statement.
