Tipperary selector Shane Stapleton has challenged the county’s footballers to redeem themselves in the All-Ireland senior football qualifiers.

Tipp must take the back door route very early following their surprise defeat to Limerick last weekend.

Not many had saw that result coming, but Stapleton told the Tipperary Star that they must dust themselves down, regroup and plan for what lies ahead.

“We are after laying down a challenge to them now,” said Stapleton. “We will dust ourselves down.”

“I would like to think we are better than that and that we might show some bit of form going forward in the qualifiers.”
