Team news: Tipp name minor football selection

Tipperary boss Matt O'Doherty has named his side to face Waterford in the opening round of the Munster MFC at Sean Treacy Park tonight (6.45pm).

O'Doherty has assembled a strong backroom team which includes former Tipperary and Laois senior football manager Peter Creedon (coach), as well as Viv Downey, James Boland, Johnny Nevin (selectors) and Jason Coffey (strength and conditioning).

Last year's star forward Kyle Shelly has the honour of captaining the Premier County.

Tipperary (Munster MFC v Waterford): James Griffin; Christy McDonagh, Tadhg Condon, Emmet Butler; James Armstrong, Donagh Hickey, Conor Shanahan; Paddy Creedon, Tom Tobin; Luke Seacy, Ben Comerford, Dara King; Liam McCormack, Kyle Shelly, Eoin McCarthy.

Subs: Cian O'Mahony, Darragh McCahey, Liam King, Francie Delaney, Tomas Bourke, Leon Kennedy, Jack Buckley, Mark O'Connor, Conor Cadell.
