Drom & Inch have forced a three-way play-off in the Tipperary SHC after they shocked defending champions Thurles Sarsfields.

Needing a win to stay in the championship, Drom & Inch produced an excellent performance against the Sars to run out comfortable winners by 2-22 to 1-18.

The result now means that the two clubs mentioned above and Upperchurch-Drombane must meet to decide which two sides go through to the knockout stages.

Drom & Inch take on Upperchurch-Drombane on Tuesday, September 5th and then Thurles Sarsfields meet the winners on Sunday, September 16th, while the loser of the opening game face Sarsfields on Wednesday, September 19th.

This weekend, Thurles Sarsfields have the small matter of the Mid Tipperary senior hurling championship final when they take on Loughmore-Castleiney at Templetouhy on Sunday.
