A minor hurling game in Tipperary was abandoned last night due to a brawl.

The West Tipperary Board is awaiting the report of referee Mark Jordan before launching an investigation into the row which broke during the second half of the game between Cappawhite Gaels and Cashel King Cormacs.

According to Tipp FM, the match official decided to call a halt to proceedings after a Cashel player was struck by a hurl and an ambulance was subsequently called.
