Sligo manager Paul Taylor feels it will be good to get their first competitive game of the year under their belt.

This weekend sees Sligo host Roscommon at Markievicz Park as they continue their preparations for the start of the NFL.

Sligo open their Division 4 campaign with a tough clash away to London and Taylor feels that a run in the FBD League would stand to them ahead of that trip.

“You are always hoping to win your first game in the FBD and to progress in it, these are all competitive games and good preparation for the league,” Taylor told the Sligo Champion.

“If we win, we progress to the semi-final with Leitrim, and all these games are really good preparation for us.”
