Former Roscommon senior stars Niall Carty and Ciarán Heneghan have been included on a subcommittee charged with finding the county’s next football manager.
The Rossies have been on the lookout for a new supremo since Kevin McStay’s surprise resignation last Wednesday and tonight’s meeting of the county committee has seen a five-man subcommittee put in place.
It consists of the aforementioned duo, along with county board Seamus Sweeney, secretary Brian Carroll and treasurer David O’Connor.
A sixth member may be added if required and the county’s clubs will have until 5.00pm this Friday to vote to select an additional member.
In a statement on the board’s website, Roscommon GAA also confirmed that they’re hoping to have “the appointment made in a timely fashion”.
