Speculation in Roscommon is increasing over the rumours that a number of players are not to make themselves available to the county team in 2019.

Without naming names, the Roscommon Herald reports that a number of players from this year’s squad have already opted out for next year.

Roscommon manager Kevin McStay is currently meeting with members of the squad and the indications from those meetings is that some players will not be committing for the new season.

McStay has had to deal with players withdrawing from the squad since he took over as manager, so this will be nothing new for him.

His own future has also been a source of great debate in recent weeks and he is due to sit down with county board officials today.
