Roscommon forward Ciarain Murtagh is delighted that they have reached the Super 8's.

Murtagh now feels that they can rightfully claim to be a top eight side having reached the last eight of the All-Ireland SFC. An exciting win over Armagh last weekend ensured the Rossies of a place in the quarterfinals.

Now, according to Murtagh, they must kick on and make an impression in their upcoming games, starting with the clash against Tyrone this weekend.

"League games are great but to get into the quarterfinals, or the Super 8's, it's massive for us. If you're not there, you can't be saying you're a top eight side. We'll relish the chance to play the top teams," Murtagh told the Roscommon Herald.

"Tyrone next week Donegal and then Dublin, that's what you dream of when you play football. We'll be going out to express ourselves.

"We'll use every man, every player will be driving hard at training this week to get into the team or into the 26. It's going to be a massive few weeks and hopefully we can push it on.

"Getting a few more games might take a small bit of pressure off us but we still have to go and perform next week or else the win over Armagh means nothing."
