Devaney eyes Super 8s

Roscommon captain Conor Devaney believes that it is a realistic target to aim for the Super 8s.
Devaney stressed to the Roscommon Herald that a team has to have targets and reaching the new look last eight is their aim for the coming year.
The route they take to that remains to be seen as they prepare for the Connacht SFC semi final against Leitrim at Carrick-on-Shannon this Saturday.
"It's no harm to have aims," said Devaney. "As a team, our aim would be to reach the Super 8s on a consistent basis over the next few years. Within that however, I don't think that you can look past each game.
"In order to get to the Super 8s, you can't dismiss the first game or else you'll never get there. In that regard, it's easy for us to zone in one game at a time, while, at the same time, having long term targets.
"We definitely won't be complacent. There have been some surprise results in the championship over the years. It has happened before with Roscommon and Leitrim, so we are not looking past this game. It's a huge game in our season."
