MINOR B FOOTBALL COMPETITION 

Na Fianna Minor Football no 2 team lost out to St Manchan Gaels only team in Rd 1 of the B Competition last Wednesday evening in Pullough. 

NA FIANNA: Martin Kelly, Eamon Bolger, Jack Brickland, David Owens, Sean Flood, Ruairi Dunne, Stephen Hackett, Ben Colton, Cathal Young, Aaron Gorman, Dylan Cahill, Shane Corcoran, Ciaran Murphy, Brian Malone, Ciaran Coonan.

U13 C FOOTBALL COMPETITION

Na Fianna U13 no 2 Football team showed great heart and determination as they withstood a late comeback to pull clear and pick up their first win of the C Competition in Rd 2 against Tullamore in O’Brien Pk, Tullamore last Sunday morning on a scoreline of 3-06 to 3-04. The first 20 mins produced just a single point apiece before Na Fianna struck for the first goal on 23 mins when Paddy Shiels caught a high ball on the edge of the square turned and shot to the net. Both sides added a further point apiece before the break so at half time Na Fianna led 1-02 to 0-02. The second  half began with avengence with 3 goals scored inside the first 5 mins, the first 2 a goal apiece were almost identical both dipping shots from outside the square with Na Fianna’s from Donnocha Cooney followed by another for Na Fianna a run along the endline by Cian Multaney-Kelly before shooting across the goal to the left corner of the net. Na Fianna added 2 points by the midpoint of the half to go 8 up and appear to be coasting but then over just the next 5 mins Tullamore hit back scoring 2-02 without reply to draw level. Having led for most of the game Na Fianna were in no mood to let it go at this stage and they came back scoring 2 points in the last 5 mins to clinch it.

U15 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP RD 3 

With 2 wins out of 2 already Na Fianna U15 Footballers will be trying to maintain their 100% start to the Championship when they face Clara in Rd 3 Re-Fixed for this Thursday evening (01 Aug) @ 7:30pm in Clara. All Support would be appreciated. 

 

MINOR A FOOTBALL CHAMPIOSNSHIP

Having got a bye in the Rd 1 Na Fianna Minor Football no 1 team get their 2019 A Championship campaign underway against Edenderry in Rd 2 next Wednesday (07 August) @ 7:15pm in Geashill. Best of Luck to Players & Management. All Support would be appreciated.
