Tom Doolin.

Happy Birthday to Tom, who is still going strong in his 90th year. Tom was Chairman of our Club for many years during good and bad times and he was a selector on our successful teams in the 1960’s. Tom was the mainstay of the Club during the 1970’s when playing numbers were low. He was very involved with Larry Coffey in the purchasing the Club grounds in Coroe and spent many hours picking stones and laying the foundations for what we have now. Tom continues to support the Club and when checking lotto numbers Toms name will always appear. He was also Vice Chairman of Offaly GAA County Board during successful years and he travelled the roads of the Country with his crew in the “Little Red Bus “ to support Offaly teams. Stories of their exploits will surely be retold at a party in Gussies , Ballycumber on Saturday night next 23rd February at 9pm. Tom’s family have issued an open invitation to everyone who knows Tom to celebrate his 90th Birthday with him.
