Poker Classic: Many thanks to all those who supported our Texas hold'em poker classic last Saturday evening. To the organising committee of Patrick Duffy, Angela Geoghegan Duffy, James Bannigan, Paddy Markey & Terence Mc Cann. To the ladies who helped to serve the food and gave out poker chips to the players i.e. Janet Bannigan and Ann Blanche. To Angela Geoghegan Duffy and Colleen Mackin who sold raffle tickets. Seniors: The Senior Panel has commenced training recently. They have entered the Ulster Junior Football league with the first game at home on Sunday 2nd February. We would like to welcome new recruit Tadhg Concannon to the Senior Panel for 2019

Annual Dinner Dance: Our Annual Dinner Dance is being held on Saturday 22nd Feb. Guests of honour are the successful Treanor Cup Team of 2000, Hall of Fame Recipients and relevant Player of the year Awards. With a lot of presentations to get through Food to be served by 9pm with Music by Kickstart. Admission is €15.

Membership: Membership this year are as follows Adult Non Playing member €30, Family €55(2 Adults from 1 Family), Adult Player Over 18 €50, Adult Player Over 17 but U18 €30, Social Membership €15 - it is encouraged that anyone using the Walking Track to pay the Social Membership if they not wish to become Full Members of the Club.

All Ireland Club Final: Best wishes  is extended to Magheracloone who play in the All Ireland Intermediate Club Final on  this Saturday 25th January against Oughterard (Co Galway) in Croke Park at 5.15pm.

 First Communion/ Confirmation: Bookings for Confirmation on the 14th March are now full however anyone wishing to look for packages for First Holy Communion on the 9th May can contact Rosemary Johnston on 0872862074 or the Social Centre on 0429745626 after 8pm

Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to the Hand Family Lattonfaskey on the death of Una Veronica Mc Ginn Doohamlet who died recently may god have mercy on her soul. Also to Concepta Daly on the death of her father Frank Mc Mahon Ballybay may god have mercy on his soul

Congratulations: Congratulations is extended to Nicola Duffy Baraghy who celebrated her 21st Birthday Party recently.

County Team Affairs: Congratulations is extended to Tiernan Duffy, Aaron Mc Gee and the County U20 Squad who qualified for the U20 Philly Mc Guinness league Final after defeating Armagh by 7 points on Saturday last. They now play Longford this Saturday in Mohill Co Leitrim at 2pm and best wishes is extended to all. The County Senior team play their first game in the National League this Sunday at 2.30pm in Galway best wishes to the team and especially our representative on the team Michael Bannigan.

School Football: Well Done is extended to Our Ladys Secondary School Senior Football Team and especially our club representatives ie Shay Duffy, Sean Hamill, Jason Duffy, Martin Sheridan & Adam Blanche who qualified for the league final by defeating St Pius Magherafelt aet on Friday last they now play Milford in the final date and venue to be decided. Also to Ballybay Community College who have now reached the Semi final of the Faul Cup after 5-19 to 3-12 win over Scoil Mhuire Buncrana where Aughnamullen were represented by Aaron Hamilton, Ryan Johnston, Killian Mc Geough, Pearse Mc Mahon & Thristan Keenan they now play Colaiste Feirste Belfast in the Semi Final.

Ireland Lights Up: It's that time of year again folks when Aughnamullen and hundreds of other Clubs all over Ireland light up their facilities and invite all the community to take part in one of the healthiest activities known to mankind namely walking. We invite the community of Aughnamullen, young and old, male and female to come along to Sarsfield Park anytime between 7 and 9pm on Thursday nights  and walk a distance that you are comfortable with.
