Oughterard of Galway will face Monaghan's Magheracloone in the All-Ireland club IFC final on January 25 after they accounted for Templenoe and Mattock Rangers respectively in today's semi-finals.

At the LIT Gaelic Grounds, Oughterard knocked out All-Ireland favourites Templenoe with a 1-12 to 0-12 victory. Templenoe, who paraded Kerry stars Tadhg Morley, Gavin Crowley, Adrian Spillane and Killian Spillane, led by 0-7 to 0-5 at the break, but kicked four poor wides at the start of the second half and were punished when Paul Walsh pounced on a poor clearance by goalkeeper Dan Cahalane to score the only goal for the Connacht champions.

That gave Oughterard a 1-7 to 0-9 lead and they sealed a surprise win with late points from Enda Tierney and Matthew Tierney.

In the other semi-final at Crossmaglen, Magheracloone - whose pitch was destroyed by a sinkhole last year - powered to a 0-24 to 1-8 win over Louth's Mattock Rangers.

Former Monaghan star Tommy Freeman can look forward to another Croke Park appearance after scoring 0-8 in the win. The sides were level on 0-7 apiece at half-time, but the Mitchells ran away with it in the second half, despite Niall McKeown netting for Mattock.
