Corduff Gaels Lotto:

The weekly Lotto draw took place on Sunday night in Traynor’s with a jackpot of €6,600. There was no jackpot winner and the numbers drawn were 9,10,18 and 25. Congratulations to the 5 Lucky Dip winners Gerard McIntyre,Sharon Hanratty,Paraic Roe,Martin Hanratty and Ben Woods. This week’s draw takes place in Boylan’s on Sunday 8th September with a jackpot of €6,700. The Lotto will be on sale in usual outlets so your continued support would be appreciated.

Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League:

Congratulations to Corduff Senior team and management on a significant win over Aughnamullen in Round 16 of the League last Saturday evening. Thanks to match sponsor Padraic Connolly of Scotshouse Quarries. As always please support our sponsors.

2019 McElvaney’s Intermediate Championship:

McElvaney’s Intermediate Championship action continues this weekend and Corduff now meet neighbours Magheracloone this Sunday 8th September at 1pm in Aughnamullen . That’s certainly a date for the diary so we hope to see all loyal Corduff supporters there to support the team and management.

Monaghan Senior Management Appointment:

Corduff Gaels would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Seamus McEnaney on been ratified as Monaghan Senior County Manager on Monday night. His backroom team consists of Peter Donnelly, Conor Laverty, David McCague and Ray Boyne. We wish Seamus and his management team good luck for 2020.

Youth Update:

Saturday 31st August: U11 Liam Stirrat Development League Zone A Round 6

The final round of The Liam Stirrat U11 Development League took place last at venues all over the county last weekend. Corduff had 2 teams in action against Carrickmacross with Donaghmoyne Road the venue. Both teams played some brilliant football with all the skills that they had worked on during the summer on display. The most skilful players from Corduff were Jack King and Nathan McGarrell. Congratulations boys and thanks to all coaches for their dedication during the year.

Manor Farm U15 Div 4 Championship Quarter Final:

Corduff U15s play Patrick Sarsfields this evening Thursday ay 6:30pm in Scotshouse and we wish everyone involved good luck.

U8/U10 Blitz: Last Saturday morning the pitch in Corduff was buzzing with excitement as Corduff was one of the host clubs for the final round of the Monaghan LGFA’s U8 and U10 blitzes. Teams from Inniskeen, Aughnamullen, Donaghmoyne plus Corduff were in attendance. Lots of super skills were on display. Thanks to all the visiting teams who attended. Massive thanks is also extended to Bernadette Walsh , Club Development Officer and all the coaches who helped out during the 2019 season to develop juvenile football in the club. We are all looking forward to 2020 with renewed optimism.

U16 Championship Having defeated Doohamlet in the semifinal Corduff U16s advance to the Final this Saturday when they play Tyholland at 3pm in Cremartin. Congratulations to Manager Tommy and the team for reaching the final and we wish everyone good luck. Hope to see good support from Corduff at the final!

 

Senior Ladies:

Monaghan LGFA Intermediate Final:

Commiserations to Corduff Senior Ladies on been defeated by O’Neills in the Intermediate Championship last Friday. Despite a huge effort by the girls a stronger O’Neills side were crowned Intermediate Champions. Thanks to the team and management for their commitment during 2019 and we look forward to 2020. Thanks also to all the supporters who travelled to Inniskeen to support the girls on Friday. See you all next season!
