Monaghan's Fintan Kelly takes a sideline during the Super 8s clash with Kerry in Clones

Fintan Kelly and Kieran Hughes will start in midfield for Monaghan in the Ulster SFC clash with neighbours Cavan at Kingspan Breffni this evening (throw-in 7pm).

With Niall Kearns having only returned to the squad after undergoing heart surgery last October and Darren Hughes ruled out with an ankle injury, Malachy O'Rourke has been forced to pick a new middle pairing.

Neil McAdam and Jack McCarron are notable absentees from the 26-man match-day squad.
