Multi Award Winning Artist Lee Matthews plays in Aughnamullen Social Centre this Sunday night. Doors opens at 9pm with Admission at €10. Come out and enjoy a guaranteed nights entertainment of good music & song

Lotto: The Lotto was held on Sunday night last the numbers drawn were 11,8,10 & 31 there was no winner.

Fundraising Draw: As you maybe aware the club are running a fundraising draw this year with proceeds going towards the development of a new training field adjacent to the ones that are presently being used. A Launch night was held last Friday night where club chairman Paddy Markey outlined the club plans for the next few years.  He also thanked a number of local business for kindly donating towards our development plans. Tickets for our draw cost €20 each or 3 for €50. Prizes are as follows Top prize of €5000 followed by Holiday to Europe, Tickets and overnight stay at an Ireland Rugby International and also ticket and overnight stay to a Manchester United Premier League game and also overnight stay at the Allingham Hotel Bundoran.

 

Juvenile Table Quiz: The Juvenile Table Quiz was held on Friday last where 21 tables took part. Many thanks to all those who took part and anyone who bought raffle tickets on the night.  Also many thanks to all those who donated prizes these included Dermot & Mary B Hamill, Debbie Mc Ardle, John Sheridan, Martin Mc Ardle, Barry Mooney, Concepta Daly, Philip Lambe, Ian & Rosemary Johnston, Eamon Lennon, Briege Sheridan, Seamus Geoghegan, Francis Ward, Mickey & Teresa Connolly, Paddy & Yvonne Murtagh & Noel Callan. To the organising Committee of Paddy Murtagh, Brian Mc Ardle, Angela Geoghegan Duffy, Janet Bannigan, Rose & Brendan Mooney & Rosemary Johnston and finally quizmaster himself Noel Callan. A great night was had by all.

 

Seniors: The Seniors played away to Killanny on Saturday last where they suffered a 7 point defeat against a more economical home side on a score line of 0-12 to 0-05. Playing with the elements in the first half Aughnamullen started brightly with a couple of early scores and after 15 minutes led by 0-05 to 0-02. However amazingly they were not score for the remainder of the game a stat that does not happen too often and Killannys rearguard stood firm and ran out easy winners. Next game is on Saturday week at home to Magheracloone at 7pm.

 

Reserves: The reserves play in the preliminary round of the championship this Saturday evening in Monaghan Harps at 5.30pm. Best wishes to team and management.

 

Under 19: The Under 19 team played in Round 2 of the league away to Latton on Saturday last. Playing with the wind in the first half the boys led at half time by 1 point however Latton proved stronger in the second half and ran out winners on a score line of 1-09 to 0-10. Next game is on Sunday 28th April away to Donaghmoyne at 2pm.

 

Under 17: With Monaghan participating in the Ulster Minor Championship there is no u17 club football till Tuesday 7th May.

 

Under 15: The Under 15 team played at home to Clan na Gael on Thursday evening last and were well beaten by a more stronger & physical outfit. In the first half the boys started well and were 3 points up at 1 stage however the amalgamated opposition came more into the game and at half time led by 9. In the second half our boys scored a number of early scores to reduce it to 5 however that was the closest they came and were well beaten in the end. Next game is on Thursday(tonight) away to Emyvale at 6.45pm. Best wishes to team and management. Best wishes is extended to U15 player Conaill Savage who received a bad injury recently.

 

Under 13: The u13 team lost their first game on Saturday last where they were beaten by Corduff by 7 points. In the first half Aughnamullen played with the wind but unfortunately did not capitalise on it as Corduff scored a number of goals to lead by 7 at the break. In the second half Aughnamullen increased the ante and remarkably there was only 1 in it going in the final few minutes but unfortunately time evaded them and the near neighbours emerged victorious. Next game is on Saturday 27th April with a away game against Cremartin

 

 

Under 11: Our Under 11 teams play Truagh in Aughnamullen at 12pm respectively. Come out and enjoy the future young Sarsfield stars.

 

Ladies: The Ladies team played a number of games over the past week. On Friday last the reserve team had an excellent away victory to Emyvale winning by 7-11 to 0-05. Whilst on Monday night last the Under 16 team were unlucky to be beaten by Latton by 6-09 to 4-09. Fixtures this week the Senior team play at home to Magheracloone this Friday night at 7pm whilst the Under 14 team play away to Monaghan Harps on Tuesday night at 6.45pm. Best wishes to all our girls teams

 

Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to Gerry Mc Cabe Formill on the death of his mother Annie Mc Cabe Kingscourt may god have mercy on her soul. Sympathy is extended to wife May, brother Gene, sister Brigid and extended Mc Mahon family on the death of Cornelius Mc Mahon Graghernagh may god have mercy on his soul.
