JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP: Our championship campaign ended in Scotstown last Sunday when we went down to Emyvale by a five margin. We competed with highly fancied opposition throughout, the loss of our captain Pauric Graham to a harsh black card after 20 minutes had a huge bearing on the result, Pauric was fulcrum of our attack he along with the ever green John Mone who continues to defy father time combined throughout the opening period to notch vital scores. We battled manfully throughout the second half refusing to throw in the towel our spirit epitomized  by Christopher Mc Geough who more than held his own on Ryan Mc Naspie. All can be proud of our efforts a first championship semi final appearance in five years and with some high quality emerging talent to enter the panel our hopes of contesting for the championship honours remain realistic in the coming years. Thanks to Louise & Shelly who supplied refreshments after the game

U17s: Qualified for the final of the championship after a pulsating extra time win over Emyvale in Toome on Sunday morning. The game looked to be slipping away from the Clan N.a. Gael combination until Conor Audi Hamilton found the net from an impossible angle to turn the game in our favour. A late free from Jason Irwin who hit 109 from mid field secure the win. Conor Mc Kernan impressed once again in centre field and Dean Rooney was coolness personified in the defence cutting out numerous Emyvale attacks. The lads play St Pats in the final in the coming weeks and play Magcercloone this Sunday in the league.

MINOR FINAL: The Doohamlet minor team final is fixed for the 30th September with the game likely to be a curtain raiser to the Junior championship final.
