Colm Lennon played a pivotal role throughout for the Pearse Brothers knocking over some impressive points from the half back line. Ballybay were the stronger team in the first half and lead by two points at the break at 0-07 to 0-05. Truagh came out fighting in the second with some impressive free kick conversions keeping them in the contest. Ballybay had a goal chance midway through the second half with the ball coming back off the crossbar before being put over for a point to leave it 0-12 to 0-14.
