Ballybay club notes

Ballybay 0-09 v Scotstown 0-10

Windy weather made conditions difficult for both sides who fought an evenly contested and spirited match. Ballybay got the better of the first half and were two points better off than Scotstown going in at the break with Dessie Ward causing problems to the Scotstown defence with his direct running. The Pearse Brothers could have been out of sight at half time but Rory Beggan pulled off a good penalty save minutes from half time to keep Scotstown in the contest.  Scotstown came out stronger in the second half and converted a freekick to level the match. They kicked on from there to see out the game and end up the victors by a point at 0-9 to 0-10 with Conor Mc Carthy getting the winning point from a freekick.
