Ulster Success: For only the 2nd time in 73 years Monaghan won the Ulster minor championship in Armagh last Friday night defeating Derry in a pulsating encounter. Our own Jason Irwin played at left corner forward on the team his high fielding and driving runs were a feature of the campaign and again on Friday night. Still underage next year Jason enters an elite group in the club to have won an Ulster championship medal, a large club contingent attended the game Friday and were particularly proud of Jason who is a great all round sportsman and role model for juveniles in our club. Monaghan now enter the All Ireland series at the quarter final stage.
