February 17, 2020

The late Christy McNulty was heavily involved in all things related to the club.

Everyone associated with Blackhall Gaels GAA club were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Honorary Club President Christy McNulty last Wednesday.

The club paid tribute to the late Christy in a Facebook post: “It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the sad passing of local man Christy McNulty.

“He was a powerhouse of a man, heavily involved in all things related to the club. He was an Honorary Club President and a dedicated member of the Grounds Committee, but most of all he was a loyal supporter.

“His presence alone would be enough to give any team a lift, and he will be sorely missed on our sidelines this year and into the future.

“Our hearts go out to his wife Anna; to his children Paul, Lisa, Brian, Ann Marie and Alice; to his extended family, and to his many friends and neighbours.

“Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a hAnam.”

A native of Augnasheelin, Co Leitrim, Leitrim GAA also expressed its sympathies to the McNulty family: "The late Christy was a great Leitrim GAA Supporter and no later than January 16th last attended the launch of the 2020 Leitrim GAA Supporters Club launch in Croke Park."
