Offaly went on a goal scoring spree to down Meath by 15 points and advance to the Kehoe Cup final.
It finished 8-18 to 3-18 in the Faithful men’s favour in Birr, where Oisin Kelly struck four goals for the hosts over the 70 minutes.
Offaly led by 5-10 to 2-11 at the halfway stage as Kelly (2), Liam Langton, Sean Cleary (2) all raised green flags to leave the would-be winners in command for the start of the second-half.
The electric Kelly would add two more goals to his tally and sandwich Langton second major in the processing, steaming Offaly towards a final date with the winners of Antrim next Sunday week, January 12th.
The Saffrons scored a comfortable 2-19 to 0-13 victory over Down at The Dub to seal their final berth and take home the Conor McGurk Cup in the process.
Niall McKenna's superb goal surged the Glensmen towards a 1-10 to 0-7 interval lead and they'd hit the Mourne net again midway through the second-half to secure the bragging rights over their neighbours.
