Cork's Sean Powter during the 2018 Allianz League clash against Tipperary at Pairc Ui Chaoim

Sean Powter has been named in Cork’s 26-man squad for Sunday afternoon’s Allianz Football League clash with Meath at Pairc Ui Rinn.

The Douglas clubman hasn’t featured for the Leesiders since the opening round of last year’s Division 2 campaign against Tipperary after suffering a serious hamstring tear.

Rebels boss Ronan McCarthy has named the talented 21-year-old on the bench for the Royals' visit this weekend, with Brian Hurley and Mark Collins also named amongst the substitutes.

Veteran Paul Kerrigan is down to start at left corner-forward while Paul Walsh also comes into the defence from the Round 3 defeat to Clare in Ennis.

Cork (FL2 v Meath): Mark White; Sam Ryan, Kevin Flahive, Conor Dennehy; Kevin Crowley, Thomas Clancy, Paul Walsh; Ian Maguire, Killian O’Hanlon; Ronan O’Toole, Luke Connolly, Mattie Taylor; Michael Hurley, Ruairi Deane, Paul Kerrigan.

Subs: Micheál Aodh Martin, Kevin O’Donovan, Peter Murphy, Tomás Clancy, Stephen Cronin, Peter Kelleher, Eoghan McSweeney, Mark Collins, Sean Powter, Damien Gore, Brian Hurley.
