Calling all aspiring referees

February 19, 2019

This course is available for all GAA members who are aged 16 and older

Calling all clubs and particular clubs without a active referee that there will be a new Referees Course in Dunganny this month, February 26/27th at 8pm.

This course will appeal to all that want to assist in the promotion of the game in our county and referees that have done 'young whistlers' over the last number of years and want to move on to adult refereeing.

Clubs with bigger population including all urban clubs should at least have 2 referees and provide whatever assistance they require, in the form of supplying umpires and sourcing gear for the both referee and umpires.

On completion, Certs will be awarded at a function in Croke Park by the President of the GAA John Horan.

Increased expenses for referees were ratified at last month's County Board meeting while linespersons who are appointed by the CCC will be paid €20 per match.
