Rogers, Nally and Callaghan ratified

Last Sunday’s FAI Cup winner Gary Rogers was ratified as Meath senior goalkeeping coach while former Louth and Newtown Blues player Colm Nally was ratified as senior football coach for 2019.

Barry Callaghan (Dunderry) is the new Meath under-20 manager and two of his former All-Ireland winning team mates Darren Fay and Paddy Reynolds will act as selectors. Callaghan who previous served as under-21 boss succeeds Nobber’s Brian Farrell.

The external review with regard to the senior management and team has been completed. There was a good response to it from the manager and he has agreed to implement some of the suggestions. Only 25 of the 36 players who were asked responded to the questionaire.

Paul Reilly (Dunboyne) will continue as a Meath senior hurling selector for 2019 and he will be joined by Conor Ferguson (Gaeil Colmcille) alongside manager Nick Fitzgerald.
