Played in ideal conditions for hurling, the Navan men were never headed and lead by 6 at half time (1-6 - 0-3). The goal scored by Derek Loughran.
When Jack Walsh added a second 3 pointer early in the 2nd half the result was never in doubt, despite the late concession of a goal to the home side. Sean Smyth, Duggie Dillon Walsh and Brian Dunne were best for O Mahonys
