Tones started this game well and lead at half time 0-7 v 0-3. This was despite Slane dominating the play for periods but being kept out by a hard working Wolfe Tones defence.

The second half was a similar affair with Slane probing but a Matty Maleady goal mid-way through the half took the spirit out of the Slane challenge and Tones kicked on for a deserved victory. This was a good overall team performance with Darragh Browne, Ray Dorran, Jake McFadden & Billy McLoughlin leading the line. Special mention to Oisin Corrigan who kicked 4 points on his competitive adult football debut.
